cannot get the new remote to turn the tv off.

I have programmed it several times but it will not turn the tv off.

    I just have a couple of questions to see if we can help you out with this issue.

    1.) Which of our boxes are you currently using? Can you also identify the remote that came with it?

    2.) What is the make and model of the TV that you're currently using?
