Samsung TV Audio Sync Issues

I've been fighting audio sync problems for the past several months. Contacted TWC help, but they pointed me to Samsung...still ticked that I have no "go between" in the way of TWC supporting the app wrt this issue. Samsung always calls me back at a bad time, so I haven't connected with them yet. I have 2014/2015 TVs (such as UN40H6350) and this occurs on all of them. Latest FW installed. Anyone else been having audio sync problems?

    It's a Samsung issue...  Change to the non CEC hdmi port, if no help, use an Hdmi to DVI cable and a DVI to HDMI adapter to strip off the signal

     

     Which cable box/ DVR do you have?

    Yes I as welll. I have resorted to hardwired LAN. Better, not perfect.

    I have Samsung Smart TV 4k, and I have been having the same issue for over a year.  What is the problem that Time Warner cannot fix the app?

    I have the Samsung SUHD Smart TV and the TWC TV app is voice/ picture out of sync for broadcast channels. I am hardwired to tv. The date on the app is 06/30/2015, version 2.82200. Is an updated app available? I'm wondering if that's part of the problem.

    I also have this issue on my Samsung Smart TV.  Only seems to occur on BBC America channel for me though.  Other channels are working ok.

    Rog13kam the Samsung tv app store seems to have a problem with the update date not changing randomly for some apps it seems. I had version 2.10 with the date being 6/30/2015 so I had no idea version 2.82200 existed because the TV never said there was an update until Tier 3 support told me to delete the app and redownload it and all of a sudden 2.82200 appeared but the date didn't change.

     

    I also had the audio sync issue with the "UP" channel, where after a few minutes the audio would just get out of sync. But that was when I was on version 2.10. It stopped happening when I installed version 2.82200.

     

    So to answer your question TWC told me as of a few weeks ago 2.82200 is the latest version.

    i just purchased two new samsung smart tvs and all efforts to get sync between voice and video have failed.

    I too have two Smart TV running TWC app. My sync problem only occurs while watching Live TV. On demand seems to be ok..running ver2.824

    I've talked to TWC rep on 12/17/16 and he was going to give this issue to TWC developers.  Appears to be an app issue on "LIVE TV" and on many channels.  FOX BUSINESS and FOX NEWS will be out of sync in a matter of minutes.

     

    Hey, TWC let's get the app fixed so it is usable on new Samsung TV, it must be a TWC issue that makes the app worthless for viewing live TV.

    I have 3 Samsung Smart tvs running the TWC app. None of them will hold audio and video sync, including CC ,on live streams from any network. On demand works great. This is an ongoing problem...well into a year now. I'm actually tired of reporting it only to be told "I have never heard of this issue" if the current dev team can't resolve the issue then contract the guys at Netflix or YouTube to fix it.

    same issue-maybe its time to fire TWC!

    netflix and amazon apps work fine on my samsung tv

    I would just like to hear that TWC is currently working to FIX the problem that is over a year old.  HEY TWC,  I think it is a major issue that again should be immediately resolved with a major TV company.

    I also am having issues with the Samsung Smart TV and audio sync issues. It worked fine after I switched to the 5G internet option until an internet outage a month ago or so. Have contacted TWC 4 times and nothing has worked. Glad to know I'm not the only one - but PLEASE do something to fix this TWC!

    Same problem here...new Samsung Smart Tv.  All other apps work great. TWC...not so much. Continual audio sync problems, tried "rebooting" tv and disconnecting other inputs and not using full screen

    Is there a fix for this, it's starting to get really annoying, especially with the football playoffs and college basketball, not to mention live news ....

    OK, hold your breath, as of this afternoon (1/19/17) the Samsung TWC TV app is working on my TV.  No issues with sync with the voice and video on the channels I've had MAJOR issues on for the past months.  The TWC TV firmware version is 2.825 and it WORKS at the present time.

     

    THANK YOU TWC and if it does not continue to work properly, I'll make another post.

    I knew that I should have waited longer to post that the sync issue was fixed.  The TCW TV app for Samsung TVs worked correctly about a half a day in the afternoon/evening on 1/19/17.  It does not work AGAIN, as the video get way behind the audio in a matter of minutes.

    The engineers and developers at TWC need to get there heads together with Samsung and come up with real fix for all of us the own Samsung TVs and should be able to successfully use an app that does work on other devices/applications.

    TWC, get back to work on a way over due fix for an app that you promote daily on the TV networks.  Samsung is a MAJOR player and should be moved to the top of issues to be fixed before the full transition to a Spectrum TV app.

    Anyone within TWC give you a timeline when this issue will be FIXED and that you can share with the forum?  Appears that no one will give a date the Samsung smart TV issue will be resolved using the TWC  TV app.

    This is a major business issue with TWC and why would anyone want a service provider that has been working on a known issue/problem for over a year without a real fix???

    2 Samsung tv's 1 uses a box and the other the app or used to anyway.

     

     

    This audio sync issue is ridiculous mine just started on my Samsung tv with in the last 3 weeks. The app still works fine on my kindle and phone. I tried a work around and screen share from my samsung phone app to my Samsung tv only to find out they have now blocked that access. Unable to support screen casting is now the message. That was working last month also. There must of been so sort of update recently that is actually a downgrade. TWC / Spectrum is the worst now. Get it together please.

    I would like to echo the question... can TWC give us a timeline/action plan for this issue and not just radio silence???   This is sooo very frustrating.   An honest answer would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

    Samsung UN48J520D. I tried updating the TWC app to the newest version 2.8.1 date 1/17 and it won't take I even deleted it and reloaded . I can't take the 10second delay .
    And suggestions on how to get the new version on the app to take . Seems like it is a fix for those that it will update for?

    I have been having the same problem for months with my Samsung TV. I have called about 2-3 times, and nobody knows any status on the situation. Unfortunately, Its getting to that time where I am going to look at other services. Other than this issue I am very happy with TWC. But, one of the reason's I went with them was the fact I didn't have to have 4 additional boxes. Good thing there are no contracts!

    TWC TV app is now Spectrum app and works on Roku devices with the change.  Is TWC going to update the TWC TV app for Samsung smart TVs or do we continue to get service that is terrible and DOES NOT WORK ???????????????????  WE NEED A REPLY FROM TWC AND TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT FIXING THE SAMSUNG SMART APP FOR TWC LIVE TV.

    I'm waiting on an answer.

    If  you are a representive for TWC, we need to be told a straight answer for a year old problem of not being able to use the Samsung smart TV app for TWC TV that is now a Spectrum app.

    IS IT GOING TO BE FIXED BEFORE AT&T BUYS TWC?  Hopefully their developers and engineers within TWC can fix the audio and video sync issue for a major supplier of smart TVs in the USA.

    Just wanted to throw my hat into this ring.  I've been having this issue for the last 4 or 5 months. I can't add anything that hasn't already been posted here. All I can say is this issue must be very low on their priority list, because it's been an issue for months and it's still here.

    Hopefully, a fix is near.....

    I talked to TWC/Spectrum yesterday and just got off the phone with Samsung.

    No one that I talked to accepted responsibility for this issue.  TWC/Spectrum's claims this is a Samsung problem and Samsung claims that this is a TWC/Spectrum issue.  Apparently the only way for me to resolve this issue is to dump my Samsung Smart TV and buy a different brand.  The TWC/Spectrum TV app works on my Sony TV, two Thinkpad laptops, a Lenovo tablet and Samsung cell phone.  It works on everything accept the Samsung TV, yet they swear that this is a Time Warner problem.  Stalemate....
