Spectrum SportsNet+ requires both Internet and mobile phone?

Am I reading correctly that Spectrum SportsNet+ requires both Internet and mobile phone as shown in https://www.nba.com/getlakers ? It says "New for the 2024-25 season, eligible Spectrum Internet + Mobile customers can now watch all Lakers games, produced by Spectrum SportsNet, in-market both live and on demand with Spectrum SportsNet+ (subject to national exclusivities)…"

Old silver TV package + landline phone + Internet bundled triple plan can't get this to watch Lakers games in L.A. area? I had no problems with Dodgers games though!

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

Hey again @AntDude! Sorry, saw your Reddit post first but will reiterate in case anyone else here has the same question.

This is a special offer which provides Spectrum SportsNet+ for free if you have both our Internet and Mobile service. You can still get Spectrum SportsNet as part of a video package which provides access to the same Spectrum SportsNet+.

TV packages that include the Spectrum SportsNet channel are:

    • TV Select
    • TV Select Plus
    • Legacy TWC expanded basic (TV Standard or TV Preferred)
    • TV Choice 15 (only for customers who select Spectrum SportsNet as one of their Choice options)

You can verify which channels should be included in your current package by following the instructions at https://www.spectrum.net/support/tv/channel-lineup-and-spectrum-tv-packages. Please give us a call at 1-855-707-7328 if you need to make any changes.

So, you're saying Silver TV plan doesn't get Plus feature in Spectrum SportsNet. It does have SportsNet for Lakers and Dodgers. I do not have mobile phone service for sure. I was hoping the old triple bundled service would have access to Plus. FYI, I was able to log into both iPhone's NBA iOS app and NBA.com web site with the old @spectrum.net e-mail address but it said:

"You’ve signed in successfully, but are unable to watch without a Spectrum SportsNet+ subscription...

Activate Spectrum SportsNet+ to watch locally broadcasted games live and on demand..."

Above is a screen shot from my updated Firefox v137.0.2 web browser in my updated 64-bit W10 Pro. PC. I don't want to get charged for activating its Plus option.

It seems like I need to have mobile phone plan service from my original link to be able to do this. Am I correct?

This conversation continued on our official reddit page. Mobile service is not required if Spectrum SportsNet is included in your video package.

    Edit: What William said.

    🔗 https://spectrumsportsnet.com/faq ↳ SPECTRUM SPORTSNET+ ↳ I already have Spectrum SportsNet via Spectrum cable, can I access Spectrum SportsNet+?
Yes. Spectrum video customers who receive SportsNet as part of their service will be able to access Spectrum SportsNet+ via authentication. Current Spectrum SportsNet subscribers can also live stream games on the 🔗 Spectrum SportsNet App.
