Pause/Resume of recording results in volume being cut in half

This is annoying because then I need to exit playing recording and resume to get the volume back to the original level.
I think this is also happening when you pause Live TV. Need to change channel and then back to fix it.
Anyone else seeing this?

Hello!
Some tips that might help:
If the volume on your Spectrum Xumo box changes unpredictably, several potential solutions can be explored:
First:
Ensure all connections are secure, including HDMI and power cables.
Second:
Navigate to Settings > Picture & Sound > Audio Settings > Digital Audio Output and select Auto
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
- Access Settings: Press the settings button on your Xumo remote.
- Navigate to Audio Settings: Go to Picture & Sound > Audio Settings.
- Select Digital Audio Output: Choose Digital Audio Output.
- Change to Auto: Select Auto from the options.
By selecting Auto, the TV will automatically decode and send the audio signal to your external device (e.g., soundbar, receiver) in the most compatible format, whether it's PCM, Dolby Digital, or other supported formats. This can help resolve compatibility issues and ensure the best sound quality for your specific setup.
If this doesn't work:
A hard reboot of the Xumo box can also help by unplugging the power cord for at least 60 seconds before plugging it back in.
Additionally, adjusting further audio settings within the Xumo box, including stereo audio and audio output, might resolve the issue..

Rebooted it. Didn't fix the problem. It's a bug.

Did you put the audio on "Auto" as mentioned above?
Try the Dolby Volume Feature and enable the Dynamic Sound feature as explained here if you can:
To stabilize volume on a Xumo Stream Box or TV, you can use the Dolby Volume feature, which balances audio across different apps and content. You can also adjust other audio settings like bass enhancer, dynamic sound, and enhance. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Using Dolby Volume:
- Access Settings: Go to your Xumo device's settings, typically accessed by pressing the settings button on your remote.
- Picture and Sound: Navigate to "Picture and Sound" or a similar section.
- Dolby Volume: Locate the "Dolby Volume" setting and turn it on.
- Dynamic Sound (Optional): If Dolby Volume is enabled, you can also enable "Dynamic Sound" for further volume leveling
- Also, do you have your Xumo hooked up to a regular TV or an audio enhanced sound system? That can make a difference. What is the make and model of that sound system if applicable? Have you tried using sound leveling options similar to the one's described above on your sound system? What about on your TV?

P.S.: i've since realized that Satch already covered that. My bad!
P.P.S.: See if turning surround sound and/or volume leveling on or off on the TV does the trick. Otherwise feel free to share the make and model of the TV if you've a mind to.

I don't have a Settings button on my remote. I pick it from the bottom of the home page.
Audio was already set to 'Auto'. I'm just hooked up to the TV, no soundbar, etc.
There are no 'Dolby Volume' or 'Dynamic Sound' options on my Xumo.
Changing the audio setting from Auto to PCM and back to Auto may have fixed the issue. I need to use it more to see if it's resolved.

Correction: I actually switched Audio to Dolby Digital and that fixed the issue.
I set it back to Auto and the problem reappeared, so Dolby Digital it isβ¦
Thanks for the help, Patrick
