Cloud DVD fast forward & rewind
When playing back a recorded movie on the Spectrum App, with my Samsung smart TV, you have no indication of where you are in the show, other than the time bar on the bottm.
This is next to useless, as you have no way of knowing how much program you are skipping over.
Most other streaming services show a small or large on-screen display. Much more accurate than guessing and going forward and backward too many times
Is this a problem with me, or is it a function of the cloud DVR that hopefully will upgrade?

I don’t know if this will work on the Samsung TV app. It works on Apple TV and Spectrum Zumo box. Try pausing the recording then use the arrow keys to go forward or back, a small window should open up so you can see when to stop.
