Cable Tv glitchy

We've noticed an alarming amount of pixelization and glitches with our TV reception today. It makes it almost impossible to watch the news or other broadcast shows. What is up?

    Welcome to our Community!

Pixilation can be due to several factors. Most often it is static noise, known as ingress in the cable lines. First thing to do would be to reboot your Internet equipment. Wait for it to come back online. Than, your cable box. Unplug each for 3-5 minutes and wait for them to come back online.

If this does not solve the problem, or it comes back, it could be a maintenance issue on the network. I would do the equipment reboot tonight. If the pixilation is still there tomorrow, call Spectrum to set up a signal and drop line test. It is rare that pixilation is equipment related. This is either maintenance related, or cable line/wiring related. This can often be caused by bad weather or aging wiring that can get worse over periods of time.
