DVR Issues

Hello Community! I've had spectrum for about three months ( TV, Internet, Home Phone). For the first month or so the TV service using Xumo worked fine but about two weeks or so ago some strange things have started happening. One of the things currently happening is some of my recordings are not recording even though they have been set to record properly. The most problem I am having with a show on MeTV. When trying to record single episodes of the Andy Griffith show it will show in the guide that it is set to record as evidenced by the red dot on the guide, however, when I go into upcoming recordings that same Andy Griffith show that I set for today shows that its going to record several days later.
I have called spectrum support two times for this and they put in a ticket and called back saying they made some changes to my account on the backend but nothing has resolved this problem. Other channels and shows affected have been a show on WeTV and a few others. I have rebooted my modem several times and pulled the power from Xumo boxes and these recording issues still exist. It doesn't happen with every channel or show just certain ones. The only thing I have not done is do a factory reset of the Xumo boxes……..does anyone have any suggestions or input they can give me to troubleshoot this? I really don't want to cancel Spectrum as I do like their service when its working properly but if the Xumo Cloud DVR keeps doing this I will have no choice. By the way I signed back up with Directv stream and setting recordings on the trouble channels and shows listed above works fine on directv stream so this is either a problem with spectrum's cloud DVR service or the Xumo itself……any help appreciated . In reviewing the ticket previously created, they were not able to duplicate the issue you mentioned and recordings worked properly. Reviewing your future recordings, I can see the Andy Griffith show "Barney Runs for Sheriff" was set to record today on MeTV, and again on Thursday on Sundance. Are you setting up single recordings directly from the guide, or searching for the show by name? Since the show is airing on different channels at different times with different episodes, selecting a single program may result in setting a recording on a different channel at a different time than desired. If, under the program listings, you select an episode you want and then select "more ways to watch" it will display all channels and times that episode is airing on, and you can select the one you'd like to record there. You can also do this right from the listings of scheduled recordings. Also, just so you're aware, the limit on recordings for your cloud DVR service has been removed.

Thanks for your reply. What I discovered after I made my post was I was only able to schedule a single episode of Andy Griffith from Me TV by scheduling it online at watch.spectrum….if I try to do this with Xumo. Roku, or Apple TV it will not record. Anymore input appreciated?

Ok here is some more information. I am setting single recordings of the Andy Griffith show directly while viewing my grid guide on the Xumo but what's happening is I set it to record on MeTV and it will show me that the recording is set initially but then when I look at my upcoming recordings that same episode is now scheduled to record a week later and not on MeTV but Sundance…. so how is this happening when I set the recording directly from the guide from MeTV ? thats a problem! and its nothing I am doing wrong. Like I said this DVR system worked flawless for the first month or so after I signed up for service but there are recording issues going on now and I can't resolve it.

I am very sorry that this is still happening. Does this happen on both boxes or just one? Have you attempted to reset the boxes and modem/router yet? ~Lyn

yes this is happening on both Xumo boxes. My Roku did a spectrum app update tonight and it’s not having this problem now. Only the Xumo’s are doing this and it’s my understanding they update themselves and there’s no way to manually update them. I could try resetting the Xumo to factory settings and report back.
