spectrum app timing out

Why does the spectrum app time out several times a day on my Samsung smart TV? Is there any way to stop this from happening? Sometimes it times out after only an hour and sometimes it will be 4 hours. My mom is 90 years old and it is very frustrating to her.

    Hello @motherterry;

    Welcome to the Community Forums. I can understand the frustration that your Mom has with the app timing out. The feature is a power save function and there is not currently a way to disable the feature. The app will not timeout if there is some kind of activity from the remote within the timeout period. I would recommend that she change the channel or open the guide once in a while and this will prevent it from time out.
