Closed Caption Problem
what the the problem with closed caption.
After navigating to the settings, accessibility, and scrolling down to close captions, making sure it is on. Then then selecting customized caption style and scroll over to manage., I I select a size being large and the color to be yellow. Then I back out to the screen to watch spectrum TV and the caption letters are small and white.
I have tried this numerous times.
What options do we have?

Good evening @Erlang21 and Welcome to our Community Forums
Thank you for reaching out to us about the Closed Captioning on our Xumo Box. I am very sorry that this is happening. The link provided will provide additional information on using this option. If this doesn't help, I would recommend resetting the box by unplugging the power for a couple of minutes from the box and then plugging it back in. Please let us know if you have any other questions -Lyn

Thank you Lyn for responding quickly.
That link was not helpful. It only provided the path to the Closed Caption ON/OFF and the feature management tab. I have gone there multiple times to change the CC to be Large Yellow Text with Blue background. Then I back out to the 'HOME' screen. Problem: the text is still small and white with a back background. I did not 'take' my changes.
Next day the changes I made were there.
It appears the box needs to be 'powered-cycled'. *** not very user friendly***.

@Erlang21 : Just curious if disabling and re-enabling closed captions with nav pad up (rather than the options/quick-access-menu button) and/or closing and reopening the app does anything at that point.

Regarding the below information found:
This question was never answered by Spectrum, but I have stumbled across a quirk of my XUMO box controls. If I use the Quick Access button (three dots) to toggle CC off, the size resets to small. Always. If I use the up button of the navigator pad to toggle CC off, then it remains large when I toggle it back on. It should not matter which way you toggle CC, but it apparently does.
I would encourage Spectrum to attempt to reproduce this issue on XUMO Boxes in their testing labs:
Closed Captioning- Selected through Quick Access= Size always reverts to small.
Closed Captioning Selected through Navigation Pad up button=Size stays the same.
If testing always produces the above results, notification to the XUMO developers may request a software update.

BrendaH1 and Satch,
Thank you very much for that insight !! I had not done that amount of testing. So I did not pay attention to the path I took to get there. Agreed It should not make a difference.
I normally leave CC on all the time (when available). But setting it up was a nightmare. My wife was blaming it on the 'gremlins' starting early this Halloween.
Thanks again.
