Can't open guide
The current update (3.37) has broken the guide. Pressing the left arrow button on the remote doesn't open the guide. Instead, it brings up the status bar on the bottom of the screen, like pressing the right arrow does. The only way to get to the guide is to bring up the main menu, which is a nuisance. Please fix this quickly. Thank you.

Having the same problem. Everything worked last night. I removed the app and reinstalled no luck. Restarted the apple tv remote nothing. Restarted the apple tv still not working. I believe you are correct spectrum pushed an update and broke the guide on the apple tv. You are correct the left button does the same as the right now

It's maddening. How spectrum hasn't reverted back yet is ridiculous. Nobody else is complaining about this??? Must all be on roku

@lenf67 : Just curious if the remote is a "Siri remote" and, if so, does swiping up twice on the touchpad do the job for the meantime.

Hello @lenf67!
Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention! We are sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing with accessing the guide and we'd be happy to help! To confirm, can you please confirm the device you are trying to use? If you are using the Spectrum TV app on the television itself, not a streaming device, please advise on the Make of the television.

I’m experiencing the same issue using my latest gen Apple TV 4K and the Spectum App. The right key nor left key bring up the guide menu. My Roku and Xumo are stilling working fine, so it’s specific to the Apple TV interface with the Spectrum app.

My 2 roku ultras pull up the guide no problem with the right button. My apple TV 4k worked fine last night pulling up the guide with the left button. The update totally broke the left button to pull up the guide on the apple tv 4k. Left button pulls up the status just like the right button. The only thing we can hope for his is a new update to the app

Can confirm clicking the left button on my Apple TV pulls up the status bar too. I have found that I can reach the guide by swiping left on the directional pad of my Apple remote. Also there is a longer way by clicking/swiping up to Recently Watched then left to reach the guide.

Hello and thank you all for providing your feedback. In an effort to escalate this matter, can you please confirm if there is a current update available for the Spectrum TV app, as well as the device being used to stream?

I am on Spectrum version 3.37 (12/2/2025 build date) & am using Apple TV 26.1. No updates available.

Jilliana the newest update is what caused this problem.

@Darkcloud035, yes, I am aware. My apologies for any confusion with my question. I was asking if there was a new update available. I appreciate your response. @PontiacBandit , thank you for your response! This appears to be a known issue for all apple devices. I can confirm this has already been escalated to our team for resolution. At this time, we do not have an estimated resolution time, but we are available via this platform 24/7, for any inquiries.

I'm hearing spectrum is about to initiate live dvr capabilities and the left button is going to be rewind. If that's the case I'll pick up a roku where i can pull the guide up with right button. What a pain if that's the case

@Jilliana_M, I'm using a Sofabaton U1 universal remote with my Apple TV 4K. The left arrow has always opened the guide, until the current app update, 3.37. I get the same results with the Apple remote and the remote for my Samsung TV, which can control the Apple TV. Re: what @Darkcloud035 said about dvr and the left arrow, I hope that's not going to happen. We need simple, 1-button access to the guide, regardless what make of remote is used.
