Pausing Live TV on Apple TV 4K available now.

in Spectrum TV App Feedback - Apple Devices and Apple TV

I just got a pop up on the spectrum app on my Apple TV 4K saying I can pause live tv now. It said that pressing the left arrow rewinds now and pressing the right arrow brings up the guide. It seems to be working well.

Spectrum TV app version and build date is 3.38.2 (4.231261521) and 12/18/2025 respectively.

    @Walkabout What version is your Apple TV 4K and OS? I’m using a Gen 3 4K with ethernet connection running tvOS 26.2 (23K54) and it doesn’t work.

    I updated the Spectrum app today and the version is the same as yours but the Build date is 12/19/2025 rather than 12/18.

We appreciate you sharing this information regarding your recent apple 4K device update. Unfortunately, I am not showing any information pertaining to this new update and I am unable to duplicate this using my system. Having said that, are you able to share a brief video of what you are seeing?

    @SmittyMon, we typically conduct maintenance overnight to be less of an inconvenience to our customers. Having said that, the app update may have been released on the date mentioned above of 12/18/2025 and then you see a build date, which indicated when the update will be complete. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused you. Please know we are here for you 24/7.

    @Jilliana_M no need for me to upload a video as my Apple TV is still not able to pause/rewind live TV. I’ve been wanting this essential feature and was excited to see Walkabout’s post stating it was available but unfortunately it’s still not working for me. :(

    here is a short video. Why I have this feature I don’t know. I did get a screen pop up introducing live tv pausing and how to use it but it never showed up again.

    My Apple TV 4K is model A2843 128GB connected via WiFi running tvOS 26.3 (23K5585c) and the Spectrum TV app is still the same as my first post.

    @Walkabout this is an available feature of the Apple TV device that was added recently.

    @Mo_S This feature is not working on my Apple TV 4K. How can this be enabled?

    I’ve tried deleting the Spectrum app and reinstalling but it still doesn’t work. Comparing info with Walkabout, it appears I have a similar Apple TV device but Walkabout’s Apple TV OS version is higher somehow. That tvOS version isn’t available for my device yet.

    My second Apple TV 4K doesn’t pause live tv so go figure.

    @Walkabout It looks like Santa brought you an early Christmas gift. It’s too bad he didn’t realize you had more apple TV devices to update :)
