Why is the Xumo system so difficult to keep operating?
We have had the Spectrum Xumo platform synced to our new Samsung TV for about 8 weeks. It is a daily struggle to keep Xumo operating. It just randomly shuts off and default to Samsung TV control. We unplug the Xumo box over and over to get it to reboot. Some days it never reconnect. Or it takes an hour of turning all on and off and then for no apparent reason Xumo is back on. For 5 hours, then the connection is dropped again. We have gone days with no TV out of frustration with this system.
I have had it. The standard cable box is far more dependable.
Why roll out Xumo if the bugs haven't been worked out.
A seriously pissed off customer.

Hi & welcome!
Sorry for the frustration with your XUMO. XUMO relies on a strong internet connection and there is evidence that there is some substantial interference with your connection to the XUMO. Does restarting the cable modem improve the connection, even if for a short time? What is the proximity of the XUMO to the modem and is there anything that can interfere with signals between the two, including brick or concrete walls?

I have found xumo to be a very cumbersome option to the old dvr box. I have extremely high internet both directions and the xumo continually is pausing with increased pixelation. So sorry I was required by spectrum to “upgrade”

Good Evening @theguru97
I can confirm and add what @James_M said about XUMO boxes. Stable Internet is critical in their operation. You may think you have strong Internet upstream and downstream. But Internet checks can show interference as @James_M spoke of above.
I would recommend the purchase of an Internet Signal Booster WIFI Range Expander or Spectrum WiFI pods. Connect that expander or pod(s) directly to your XUMO and reboot your Internet equipment and XUMO after that. Here are more details about why signal boosters help with XUMO connections. (Including how to connect a WIFI signal booster.)
You should notice an immediate improvement with the Spectrum pods or Internet signal booster's directly connected to your XUMO. Other things you can do like moving your Internet equipment closer to your XUMO can help. You can also always go back to a traditional box/DVR, where signals are still important, but not as critical as for streaming connections like XUMOS.
