With Regards to cDVR/cDVR Unlimited What's the Difference Between Apple TV/Xumo Boxes?
Good afternoon all!
Asking for a customer concerning CDVR and CDVR Unlimited what is the difference between these viewing experiences on a XUMO box vs. Apple TV?
The Spectrum cDVR and CDVR Unlimited support page says the following:

Existing Cloud DVR or cDVR Unlimited customers can keep using cloud-based recording after upgrading to Spectrum Select TV service. However, cDVR customers will need to transfer to cDVR Unlimited. TV Select/Silver/Gold and Mi Plan Latino all require a Spectrum-purchased Apple TV device.
Question: Does this mean that customers with a Spectrum TV Select/Silver/Gold Plan must still get an Apple TV device, even if they already have a XUMO box with Unlimited Cloud DVR service? Finally, can the Entertainment add-on plan be added to Cloud DVR service whether using Apple TV or a XUMO box?

Hey there @Satch!
We'd be happy to help! First and foremost, the difference between cDVR and cDVR unlimited is the storage capacity.
cDVR
- Cloud DVR cannot be combined with Multi-DVR service.
- Customers can schedule and record up to 50 live shows at once.
- Recordings are saved for a maximum of 90 days.
- Customers changing from Cloud DVR to Cloud DVR Unlimited; only the new recordings after the upgrade allow saving a maximum of 270 days after the date recorded.
cDVR unlimited
- Customers can schedule and record Unlimited live shows and Unlimited simultaneous recording
- Recordings are saved for a maximum of 270 days after the date recorded.
- Customers changing from Cloud DVR to Cloud DVR Unlimited; recordings saved prior to upgrading to Cloud DVR Unlimited will still expire after 90 days.
While this is a feature via the Spectrum TV app, one of the differences between the Xumo device and the Apple TV is that ability to pause/FF/RR live tv. This feature is only available on the Xumo device at this time.

Hey there @Satch. I'm sorry for the confusion. It looks like the FAQ is outdated. I will send feedback about it. They should be able to use any device that the Spectrum TV app is available on.

I kind of suspected that the FAQ information was outdated, because XUMO should be able to handle any Spectrum TV package and Spectrum ad-ons to TV services.
