High Split upgrade in Marion, NC

I'm just checking to see if there is an update on when high split upgrades will be started or completed in Marion, NC. I was told by a phone representative that the upgrades have been completed but are not available to existing customers, only new internet customers. Is this true? She said that it requires a professional fiber to the home install, but I don't see any fiber infrastructure in my area and the FCC broadband map says there is no fiber in my area. Also, I know that high split is coax to the home, not fiber.

    Hello @dfield507;

    Welcome to the Community Forums. I check the status of the upgrade in your area and I am not showing the upgrade has been started yet. This would indicate that it would be at least 6 months before it will be completed and activated.

    We will send out a notification when the major work is being done but a majority of the work will be done prior to this and there will not be any notifications on when this work is started.
