Well, Spectrum screwed up somehow. The old tuning adapter and new high speed converter are both two way devices. The cable card is one way. This should be a rare error.1 -

There are reports from St. Louis and Dallas of a new more cablecard friendly policy. Perhaps existing cablecard customers will be supported, especially in new high split areas?1 -

Cincinnati is also deploying HSC's. It looks like current Tivo owners will be OK unless Spectrum runs out of HSC'S.1 -

BTW, :"I don't know." can be an honest and acceptable answer. Spectrum's own internal communications seem a bit muddled right now.1 -

Good news! Spectrum is providing HSC's in the Louisville, KY area. I would interpret the "no new equipment" policy to mean that if the HSC fails you will not get a replacement. Fortunately,…1
