Spectrum TV app defaults to the Spectrum News channel

I have tried to change the settings multiple times and the app still opens to the Spectrum News channel (using Apple TV)

    Hi KyKat, welcome to our community!

    Make sure the startup channeled is toggled to on, and then select your desired channel. If it continue to open to the wrong channel, make sure your Apple TV is up to date and reinstall the Spectrum TV app.

    I have done that and it still opens to Spectrum News. Also if it’s toggled to Off shouldn’t it open to the channel it was previously on? This is how the app used to work.

    Might Have to log off your apple tv account and reconnect
