Issues with FF recorded shows on Spectrum App

I recently switched to the spectrum app, from YouTube tv. I have been frustrated trying to fast forward past commercials on recordings, because the picture remains frozen while fast forwarding, and I can’t tell when the commercials end and the show begins again. I didn’t have this issue with YouTube tv, and/or Comcast. Is there going to be a fix for this in the near future?
