Can't record all episodes of a series across multiple channels

I have my DVR set to record "NHL Hockey" entire series, however, it will only record episodes on certain channels. This year the NHL Playoffs are being aired on ESPN, ESPN2, TBS, TNT, TruTV, NHL Network, and NESN (maybe other channels too). There used to be an option when setting a recording to "record on any channel" but that option is not available on the new DVR, as far as I can tell. As things are right now, I have to go in every few days and search for and then manually set a recording for each individual game if that game is not on NESN or the NHL network. Those two channels are the only ones that display the "multiple dot" symbol that indicates a series recording. Is there a fix for this?
