Had a Xumo for a day, liking it so far

Once I got past the technical hiccups setting it up, I'm happy with it so far.

The Spectrum TV app is very snappy and has Live TV buffering which is very nice.

I am looking for an app to play my Apple purchased content (movie purchased on iTunes). The Apple TV+ app only appears to be for people who have subscribed to Apple TV+.

Hey @pmaloney3, wonderful to see the Xumo is working out for you!

Unfortunately there is no iTunes/Apple TV app available on Xumo at this time. Please see the list of available apps to see all the options.

    First Impressions:

Have had the Xumo connected for a day now. It works fine, no buffering or anything, however the voice commands do not work. The prompt appears but when I give it a command, it says "that didn't work".

Things I like: being able to punch in a channel number and go to that channel.

Things I don't like: Using the "back" button takes you back to the guide, not to the previous channel you were watching. No way to plug headphones into the remote. And not having the abililty to add apps to the system. I'm going to try it for a little while longer, but right now my feeling is that it's going back to Spectrum. Back to my Roku.😐️

Hello @NANCY52, and welcome to our community page!

I am pleased to hear the positive feedback from your experience with using Xumo and I'd be more than happy to assist you with some of the things you don't like in an effort to ensure you are having a great experience overall. To begin, when using the back button, are you doing so in the Spectrum TV app? I do want to advise you that the app is programmed to respond with bringing up the guide when the back button is prompted. However, I completely understand how that could be an inconvenience when trying to recall your last viewed channel. In regard to the issues with the voice command feature, can you possibly provide more details on it not working?

@Nancy52, I also like using numbers for selecting channels, but the guide is real snappy so it's not as much of a hassle using it like on my Roku.

Yes, a 'Last Channel' feature would be nice.

    Regards, Patrick

Hi @Nancy52 and @pmaloney3. You can use the navigation down button to go back to previous channels.

Using voice to switch channels generally works well, which is convenient.
