why can't i record programmes on xumo

Welcome to the Community! To record programs using the XUMO streaming box, you must subscribe to Cloud DVR service. It comes in two options. Cloud DVR stores 50 programs for 90 days, Cloud DVR Plus stores 100 programs for a full year. Cloud DVR plus is the better value.
To add Cloud DVR service, call Spectrum Customer Care at the number shown on your billing statement.
