Can Total Number Of Recordings Be Added Back To View DVR Section?

Options

Total Recordings number is no longer in the Recordings section. This is on my Xumo and I also noticed on the Roku too. Will this be added back?

Since Cloud DVR+ is now unlimited, it will no longer show the amount of recordings. Recordings will still expire after a 9 month period.

    Hello @blackbutterfly!

Thank you for your question. I was able to access your account via the email address provided during your community forum registration. I can confirm that CDR+, Cloud DVR unlimited and regular CDVR, does not track the number of recordings on a device. Depending on your selection of the two, CDVR can hold 50 recordings and CDVR+ can hold 100. Once at capacity, Our DVR cable boxes would notify customers that the storage is full, so they can select which shows they would like to remove to free up space for more recordings. CDVR(+), does not function the same way. Instead, it will automatically remove older recordings, to clear room for more. To answer your question, there isn't a way to add additional storage space, unless you are upgrading from CDVR to CDVR+.

So I guess I have the CDVR+ since I have the one with 100 recordings. And on both the Xumo and Roku, there used to be a number displayed for the total number of recordings that I have and I knew how many I had to delete for my recordings later. That number is longer there, so I'm not asking for additional space. Just seeing if the total number can be displayed again.

    For Cloud DVR,

Is the storage limit only removed for Cloud DVR Plus users or for Cloud DVR users as well? Any new differences between Cloud DVR and Cloud DVR+? For the expiration date of 9 months cited above? Is that something new? I recall that is used to be 90 days for CDVR and one year for CDVR+.

Cloud DVR is now a grandfathered service that is no longer offered and had no changes to the service. For Cloud DVR Unlimited, 9 months is new, recordings before July 1st will still expire after a year. You also have the option of saving for only 3 months when setting up the recording.
