Feedback to Send to Paramount+ Concerning Ad-Supported Showtime Streaming

Good Evening Spectrum!

I have been thinking about the tremendous success of Spectrum including and expanding its ad-supported streaming premium services to all Spectrum TV Select Package customers. To expand on this, would be the possibility of Spectrum to convince Paramount+ to offer an ad-supported streaming version of Showtime, which could be included with all TV Select plans.

It would follow the similar model of streaming HBO Max, Peacock, Disney+ Basic (ect.) Under this proposal, Showtime (with ads) would be added to all Spectrum Select TV plans as a part of Paramount+'s programing. Currently, subs have to pay a small fee to add Showtime (without ads) and get all of Paramount+ without ads. This proposed model would put ads on Showtime streaming for all Spectrum TV Select subs,, and drop all ads, and put Showtime on the boxes for an optional monthly charge to remove the ads.

It's something that Paramount+ should consider strongly.

I doubt it but maybe when Skydance takes over, Showtime will abandon its pro-creator, anti-ad-interruption disposition.

In the meantime, you can get the entire Showtime library by upgrading to Paramount+ Premium for five beans a month if you already have the Paramount+ Essential gimme.

    Sup @HT_Greenfield?

Showtime doesn't really interest me, I look at their schedule maybe monthly for so and while they might show a good movie maybe 3 times out of 10 there's not enough there to justify the added premium cost, even at only $5.00 a month. HBO Max is much better, I also love MGM+!

In fact, I strongly recommend to all Spectrum CATV/streaming subs, adding Entertainment View to your Spectrum TV plans! Eighty channels of great variety consisting of movies, special interest and sports, It is my favorite Spectrum TV add-on and by pairing it with any Spectrum TV Select Plan, you get amazing value!

I mentioned Entertainment View because Flix is a part of that line up. Flix shows things that are on Showtime, without the added cost, so I was thinking if Paramount+ with the merging with Skydance could see value in adding ad-supported Showtime Streaming like the other streaming services that are automatically included with all Spectrum TV Select plans.

The only downside, is in a lot of Spectrum markets Flix is in SD only, Those in these markets may have to wait until Spectrum completes high-split Internet to convert those few channels in SD to HD. There are tremendous opportunities and value in combining CATV with Streaming. But I am not ready for streaming as a stand-alone yet. Probably because I have been an old school cable guy since 1985! But I am very pleased with Spectrum's CATV package offerings. Will Skydance be able to improve Showtime's content? That is the question. Paramount+ is good, but HBO Max is better.
