Scam email from Charter accounts, not addressed to me

I receive at least 5 scam emails from @charter addresses, which I always copy the header and send to the abuse at charter.net address.

My question is why are these usually addressed to other people and not me? Is there a way to stop this?

    Hi Joseph,

    It can be difficult, at times very difficult to stop these spam guards as they become more and more sophisticated. There might be a way to block the suffix's of those email address. The problem is that spammers and bots just come out and change the domain name.

    If sending to spam or doing the above is not helping. you might want to consider an alternative, such as a web-mail provider like Yahoo Mail, or Gmail. which has better spam guards. in the sense that those are more modern.
