Spectrum DVR (old style) records shows that I don't want to watch

I have three shows set to record they are all on TLC. They are Match Me Abroad, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, and 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. The DVR is set to record all episodes. However, I also get recording of shows First Look, More To Live, and Pillow Talk for these shows that are associated with these shows but are different shows that I have no interest in seeing, and don't want them recorded. I then have to go into my recording and delete them. I thought it was maybe a ploy by TLC to get people to watch the other, associated, shows but I contacted them and they said they have nothing to do with how shows get recorded to a DVR.

This has also happened with other TLC shows that I have previously recorded.

I am guessing it is how the shows are coded. Has anyone else seen this?

Is there a fix?

    Hello @sprill

That is strange. When did this start happening? How many of these shows are new series? How many of these shows are past their original series run? I would go in and delete the shows you don't want recorded. If you have them set to series, use the command "Delete Series" and say yes to that for "First Look." "Pillow Talk," and "The Other Way."

Next. for first run series shows that you want to record, change the series options for those shows to "New Episodes Only." This only works for truly new shows. If there is a conflict, and only if there is a conflict, will the DVR record repeat airings of New episodes.
