November 11 Email Password Change
I received the notice to change my Spectrum password. A Spectrum customer service agent told me that all I had to do was change my Spectrum.net password to automatically link my four twc.com email accounts to Spectrum - after doing that I would have satisfied what Spectrum wants from us: my email addresses would not change, the twc.com suffix would remain and I could access each from the Spectrum home page. Do I understand him correctly?
I access my email from Apple Mail on several devices: desktop and laptop. The agent told me I didn't have to do anything on Apple as the changes were internal to Spectrum. That seems odd to me. If the password that gives access to the emails has changed, wouldn't I have to copy that password into the Apple mail accounts, too? Also, will there be issues re: the protocols - server settings, etc? I've read where people have had their email client apps "broken" by this change.
What's the proper way to go about all this? Thanks.

I apologize for any confusion your recent interaction has caused, but you are absolutely correct. Anytime a password is updated via our website or any mail server (such as Gmail or yahoo, etc.) You will also need to update the password via the third-party mail server you are using. In most cases it will automatically prompt you to make the change, but sometimes you may have to update via the settings within the app itself.
