[Email Upgrade] Change password by Nov 11th - Unable update password on subordinate accounts!!
Apologies for the long email but I'm trying to provide as much info as possible.
I use all six accounts provided by Spectrum. My domain is: tx.rr.com. See examples of 4 email addresses and backup email below:
Backup valid email for verification: homer.simpson@gmail .com
homer.simpson@Tx .rr.com <<< Admin role/Owner Primary account,
marge.simpson@Tx .rr.com Marge Simpson (Standard role)
bart.simpson@@Tx .rr.com Bart Simpson (Standard role)
lisa.simpson@Tx .rr.com Lisa Simpson (Standard role)
ISSUE: I was only able to change the password for Homer (Admin role) but how do I change the passwords for Marge, Bart and Lisa ?
WHAT WORKS:
- I can log in to the primary email account with the new password that I was able to change.
- I can still log into all subordinate accounts with existing passwords because I was not able to change them. Also, all my emails are still accessible :)
Observations:
After navigating to MORE|SETTINGS|PEOPLE, I see the names on the subordinate accounts but the email addresses are marked "invalid".
The backup email is applied to all subordinate accounts, so below is what I see, using the example email addresses above.
homer.simpson@gmail .com (Invalid) Marge Simpson
homer.simpson@gmail .com (Invalid) Bart Simpson
homer.simpson@gmail .com (Invalid) Lisa Simpson
It is very important that these subordinate accounts NOT BE DELETED OR I lose access to them because of this password change.
Any advice, comments would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Hello and welcome @txrattler25,
Each email account is now attached to it's own Spectrum ID, the user name for each ID will match the email address in question and you can log in at spectrum.net rather than the prior selfcare or webmail sites to check email. There is no longer technically a parent email account and sub accounts, as each will have it's own account login. The Spectrum ID's will still have the option of primary, admin or standard roles and the role assigned determines the level of account access.
To reset a password, if you're able to log into spectrum.net, you would navigate to More > Settings > Sign-in & Security for each account you want to change the password for. If you're not able to login, you'd follow the forgot user name or password option on spectrum.net.For your account, I do see 7 Spectrum ID's and 6 email accounts properly associated and active, the primary ID does not have an email mailbox associated. They all share the same recovery email as well, which is the one listed as the primary Spectrum ID.

If you reset those passwords you too will lose access if you have been using POP3 or IMAP on your mobile devices or computer apps. I had been using POP3 and IMAP email server connections for years until forced to change password.
Called Spectrum they blaming 3rd party client app when in fact it was working until the upgrade and password change. Updating the password on the apps does not help. I have RR.com domain emails now no longer accessible unless you log on using the webportal which is terrible.
My guess is the email servers either are not syncing the password changes, or have identity issues or the server names have changed.
