connecting new phone

Trying to get calling/messaging to work on new phone. Both old (A13) and new phone are connected to the internet. Neither can call or message.

Good Evening. @jcbucher Welcome to the Spectrum Community! Some questions:
1.) Are you porting over your old phone number from a different provider? That can be a long process and can actually take days.
2.) If you are keeping the same phone number, when you try to call or message, or someone else tries to call or message, do you get an error message voice or just dead silence on the line?
3.) Have you rebooted your Internet modem to get it synced with your new phone?
4.) What is the make and model number of the phone?
