I received an "Alert Notice of Spam Violation" Huh????
The text says, "Spectrum has been notified that unsolicited e-mail messages are being distributed from your Spectrum Internet account and/or Spectrum-provided IP address.
Please refer to the CAN-SPAM Act for guidelines to format emails. Emails that do not comply with these guidelines will be blocked.
Thank you for being a Spectrum Customer, Spectrum Support Team"
There is a "please let us know" for responding if the email was received in error but the link does not work.
The notice is ironic because I frequently forward spam emails which contain a sender email ending in charter.net to abuse@charter.net.
Has anyone else received this notice? It was obviously sent in error. what should I do about it?
Thanks

@slough,
Reviewing your account, this is showing as a legitimate email sent from us. Using the email that was sent, the "please let us know" link you mentioned is working, but this is only if the email is intended for someone else or if you'd like it sent somewhere else. The message was intended for your account. The emails referenced do not need to be through your Spectrum provided email, but could be any service using your internet/IP. You can reach our security team at 855-222-7342.0 -
I called the security team about the spam notice and asked what I had sent that triggered the warning. After answering multiple questions, and changing my password, the technician seemed satisfied I hadn't done anything wrong.
Although the notice had a reference number the technician, after consulting with others and/or management, was unable to explain what had caused the warning to be issued.
