Roadrunner email
Received an email from TWC & Roadrunner telling me I have to upgrade my email account
and reset my password. Is this legitimate or a phishing ploy?

Hello and welcome @vaspras001,
Just so you're aware, this is a public forum so I've removed your full name and email address from your post.
The email you mentioned does not sound legitimate as there should be no action to take to "upgrade your email account". You should only visit spectrum.net directly in order to reset the password for the Spectrum ID related to your email account. Does it show in the email header information who the email came from? The source is usually a good indicator on legitimacy.1 -
Thank you for your reply and removing my info. The header only said "Email support." Under that in larger script it said important update from TWC & Roadrunner. Need to upgrade my acct. Spoke to Spectrum support tech and they said it appears to be spam.

@vaspras001,
I didn't see any concern associated with the email account. If you still have the email you received, you can forward it as-is to phishing@charter.net.0 -
Will do. Thank you.
