When Will High-Split Internet Be Available in Compton, CA?
I'm located in Compton, California (Los Angeles County) and currently have Spectrum Internet 500/20 using a Motorola MG8702 modem/router.
I know Spectrum has been upgrading parts of Southern California with high-split technology and higher upload speeds, and I've been reading that some areas are now getting symmetrical or much faster upload speeds.
Does anyone know if there is any information about when the Compton area might receive the high-split upgrade? Has anyone nearby already been upgraded?
Also, I understand my Motorola MG8702 may not be compatible with high-split service. If my area is upgraded, will Spectrum provide a compatible modem, or will I need to purchase one?
Any information from Spectrum employees or customers in the area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey @MJV79, welcome to our community! It doesn't look like upgrade work has started yet in your area, and there's no set date for when it will. You will need to use a Spectrum provided modem once the symmetrical speeds launch, we provide them at no cost.
