update on when symmetrical internet service in 49009 (Kalamazoo, MI)
Good day,
Based on conversations with Spectrum crews working in the area, I understand that the necessary infrastructure is already in place, but the service has not yet been provisioned because they are trying to get all other areas up and running before turning up so they don't have to run two systems (The current and the new).
I was originally sold this service around this time last year, only to later learn that the project had not yet begun. I was then advised that the service would be available by the end of January 2026. When that date passed, the timeline was moved to March 15, 2026. That date also passed, and during my most recent follow-up, I was told that no updated timeline was available.
Could someone please provide a clear and reliable estimate for when symmetrical internet service will become available in ZIP code 49009? Being told that customers will simply notice faster upload speeds one day does not provide a meaningful timeline or adequately address the repeated delays.
Would it be possible to get confirmation of the current project status and the best estimated date for service availability for 49009?
