Customers will be notified by their preferred communication method (email or text) when upgrades are available in their area
We expect 100% of our service area to be completed by end of next year

Santa Monica, CA 90404 - Network Evolution / High Split Status

Hi everyone,

I’m a Spectrum Gig customer in Santa Monica, CA 90404.

Spectrum support confirmed that the high-split Network Evolution work for my area began on May 4, 2026 and is still in progress.

Could a moderator please check the current status for the serving hub or node associated with my account and let me know whether the work is still in physical construction, has moved into testing, or is awaiting activation?

I understand there may not be a guaranteed completion date. I’m mainly hoping to learn whether any more detailed status or rough activation window is available beyond the May 4 start date.

I’m not looking to change my plan or services.

    One clarification: my internet was out for essentially the entire scheduled July 28 upgrade window, so substantial work appears to have taken place. I then received an email saying the upgrade needs to be rescheduled and that a new window will be provided. It sounds like the work began but could not be fully completed. Are you able to tell whether the remaining window is expected to finish the local high-split work?

    Hello and welcome to the Spectrum Community!

    I am seeing the upgrades have started in your area but there is no information as to when the upgrades will be completed. The upgrades are not usually done in one day but over the course of months depending on how much infrastructure needs to be upgraded.
