What happened to the GRIT channel 986?

The guide has Grit shows but ION Mystery is on?

    For GRIT on Spectrum I am now getting it on channel 16 aka TBN For Over the Air Channel it WDLI channel 17.1

    @BJBrook,

    It could also be that the station in your area replaced Grit with Ion Mystery on the subchannel that corresponds to channel 986 on your system. In other words, the station itself could’ve made the change on that particular subchannel, not Spectrum. As @Satch said above, Spectrum only carries the channels on its system. It doesn’t control the content of those channels. Expanding on @Satch, this is the case for all pay-TV providers, whether cable, satellite, telco, or otherwise.
