Spectrum Blocked Access to my Private Cloud Provider

Hello,

I have lost access to https://www.pcloud.com/ this is my private cloud storage service. I have had no issue reaching this domain for the past several months.

Today, trying to access the link to their main site via Edge and Safari Browsers just hangs infinitely (no rerror, no timeout). This URL is readily accessible when connecting from AT&T wireless and Xfinity home internet. And, I have had no issues accessing this service for months prior to today.

I have updated my DNS servers from Level3 to Google to Cloudflare. Rebooted the Router, etc.

Is it possible that Spectrum is blocking access to this website/service?

Thanks for any help,

wesD-

    @wesD,

    We do not block websites at the internet level. Any blocking occurs at the device or application level. If you have Security Shield enabled, there may be an issue with the website that the website servers need to address.

    Have you tried reaching out to pcloud for assistance?

    Have you, run an nslookup to make sure the IP is resolving properly?

    May be something in the site scripting that has gone sideways. Some routers restrict certain protocols that you may need to allow to pass through.

    Looks Like it ultimately goes to Switzerland. RIPE records appear unchanged since end of 2020. Perhaps an update to eapi.pcloud may be causing some issues?

    Locked a tunnel to my home network and opened their landing page fine in Firefox Mobile here in South Carolina, but adblock did kill a few things.:

    Same here. Can't reach via HTTPS (not that i have any reason to.) Nothing to do with Security Shield. It's all Greek to me but i take it that the DNS glue et c. situation is currently too far out of whack.

    Wonder if it could be an issue with cross-site scripting. That www address gets flipped to the eapi cname, which then polls nearly a dozen A records (eapi1, eapi2, etc.) when I ran nslookup against Spectrum DNS (the one ending in .63)

    Looks more and more like an issue with how the service is running that is not jiving with something client side.

    Pulled up fine at the house last night from South Carolina (Samsung browser on the phone, Firefox on a Linux machine). Again… using Spectrum DNS for the lookup. Perhaps switch to theirs and flush DNS cache?

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
