Hi

I'm having a lot of latency issues while gaming even though servers are in Washington DC. Here's what I see

    Appears to be forwarding OK... 100% response with reasonable response times at the next hop.

    Seems like the usual response to ICMP ECHO requests when routers come under stress?

    May be something else in play that ICMP will not reveal... may not even be something along this route.

    We are sorry to hear about the latency you are experiencing and are more than happy to help! Using the information provided in our registration process, I was able to locate the account and access the modem. Upon further investigation, I did not show any signal discrepancies or drops on the modem; in fact, the signal has been excellent for the uptime of 33 days. However, because the router is a third-party router, we are unable to see the connection needed to diagnose any wireless connection issues. When able, I encourage you to complete a full reboot to the modem and router, by unplugging the power for a full thirty seconds. Additionally, you can also bypass the router and direct connect to the modem for an accurate test of your connection speed. Having said that, I can assure you that some packet loss is normal, especially when you are pinging a server that thousands of others are also trying to connect to. Please keep in mind that a ping test is not an accurate test in regard to your service speed and connection. Should you need further assistance, please let us know.
