Unable to report an outage and given the runaround by chat
Two nights ago I got a notification that my security camera was offline at around 1 am, when I checked the MySpectrum app it was a reported outage, annoying but whatever Tonight when my internet randomly stopped working at around the same time I assumed it was the same issue but when I logged onto the app there was no outage reported. I followed the instruction in the app to attempt to reset my connection twice before trying to connect through chat to resolve the issue. I still thought it might actually be an outage but much to my chagrin there was no way to report one so I thought surely I was wrong. From start to finish I spent over an hour trying to resolve this issue- i was sent the same copy paste intructions that i had already tried twice- before being notified in that "this just in" there IS an outage in my area. I am incredibly frustrated with this experience. I do not blame the agent I was connect with,although I found their impersonal copy-paste responses frustrating I am more frustrated with the overall experience of having wasted an hour of my very minimal free time having attempted to resolve an unresolvible that I initially clocked as such and was unable to report. I hope the right people see this.

I'm sorry for the trouble with our internet service. Unfortunately there's no way to just report that you are in an outage, you could tell us if your service isn't working and we would check if there's any known issues in the area. Even if we suspect an area problem, if there's nothing reported yet we would still need to complete troubleshooting. There can be problems that cause modems to go offline but they just need to be rebooted to come back on for example. One of the ways we detect outages is looking at incoming calls/chats and repair appointments scheduled, so we still thank you for helping bring the issue to our attention by chatting in.0
