It’s annoying to have to reselect Favorites on guide every sign in. Allow Favorites as default

If Roku's own Live TV Channel Guide also non-optionally defaults to all channels, then you could always try to find out directly from them whether their app development kit supports anything else in the first place.

The other option,
Get a Spectrum cable box, DVR, or streaming XUMO box with optional Cloud DVR and you can set the guide to always show your favorite channels.
