DO I have the latest equipment ?
Hello I'm in Los Angeles with the 1000 mbit / 35mbit plan.
I have the sax1v1k / en2251 Spectrum router and modem.
Connection throughput is sporadic with frequent delays and latency
(on an ethernet PC)
I'm wondering if I can pick up a new modem/router from the Spectrum shop.
Do I have lthe latest models?
TIA for any info

Good evening @davexnet
I am sorry to learn that you are noticing the delays and latency with our internet. The equipment that you have is equipped to handle the speeds and services you have. If you would like to swap out the equipment at our office to see if this will help out, you can do so at your earliest convenience. Our office locations can be found at the link provided. Please let us know if you have any other questions. -Lyn

If I swap out the modem and router for new devices as discussed above,
do I have to call Spectrum to provision them or will it work "out of the box" as-is?

Hello @davexnet,
If the Spectrum Mod determined above that you current equipment is compatible with your network, I would recommend a service call to check your signals and drop line first. New equipment will have the same problems if your signals and drop line are bad.
If your signals and drop line are bad, the tech will correct this issue. If they are good, the tech will replace any needed rented Spectrum equipment onsite. This is better than a customer do-it-yourself equipment store swap. Set up a service call,
If your lines and signals are good and you get new rented Spectrum equipment yourself, it comes with a do-it-yourself install kit and activation instructions. You can call or text Spectrum for help with do-it-yourself installs if the instructions don't work. You would than need to return the old rented Spectrum equipment to a Spectrum Store or take it to UPS and say, "I am a Spectrum Customer" and they will take care of the rest. Self install old equipment returns must be returned within two weeks of the activation of new equipment to avoid collection charges.
