New Spectrum security measures causing network unavailable when accessing away from home.
Emails can not be accessed through all browsers on laptop,tablet or cell phones when not on home network due to new security measures on or around March 31 2026.Emails can not be forwarded to another email provider as of new security measures.IDID-4002 code is showing and can not find a work around at this time. Does anyone have a solution for this.

Hi @Toughy, welcome to our community! IDID-4002 indicates the login was blocked due to risky/suspicious behavior. Please wait at least 24 hours before trying to login again, preferably when at home, after which point you should be able access our site again normally. If this happens again afterward I recommend running a full virus scan, avoid unsecured networks, and don't use a VPN with a location set outside the US.

I have tried multiple locations,devices,browsers,networks,cellular and Verizon mifi card to be able to help troubleshoot and exclude VPN’s. I have cleared cache and cookies and verified that fire walls were not restricting access.I have a secondary residence and can not even log into my account since I am not on my home network. Tech support has tried and has encountered the same issues but sporadically. I was going to export spectrum emails by forwarding to my gmail but that feature also is not functional due to security as it has been disabled.

Do you get the error as soon as you sign in at Spectrum.net? Are you waiting at least 24 hours between login attempts? If you get the error, it extends the lockout by another 24 hours.

The error was received when I signed in and was recieved after it tried to authenticate. I have waited 24 hours between log in attempts. There are times when I have not waited 24 hours between log in attempts during my troubleshooting process and would have a successful login and I would receive the code numerous previous attempts.I am successful logging in through home network when using the same devices having issues with at remote locations away from home network. Spectrum tech support recieved the same error sporadically when they tested. This has started after March 31 2025 when it was believed that new security measures were implemented.
