Repeated texts and email reminders to activate free streaming

Not being paranoid but does anyone else think it's interesting that Spectrum continues to remind customers to activate the free streaming apps. I've activated a few but the reminders to activate all are persistent. My gut tells me that at some point Spectrum will rationalize a new way to raise my bill which continually gets raised anyway. Just wondering
