Spectrum App on XUMO

Recently it became necessary to replace our old cable box and was prompted to replace it with XUMO. We've had it now for a couple of weeks and like it. However, the Spectrum App does not reach the level we expect from Spectrum. It seems rather than developing an app for XUMO that would meet the expectations of its longtime cable users they chose to place the same app used on an iPhone. All the other apps are of a high quality and work well except for Spectrum-It is sometimes fuzzy-there is an inability to create specific favorite channels-after turning it off it goes back to "all channels"-and compared to the ease if the box it's difficult to navigate. One would think an app would have been developed to mirror or improve the box experience. I've talked to service and the guy agreed that it "isn't great", that he had the same issues and he would pass my thoughts along. It's interesting that Spectrum now moves us to XUMO and their app is the weakest part of the experience.

How do we get Spectrum to improve and redesign the app so it works as well as cable?

Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the Spectrum Community!

I definitely understand your frustration. The Spectrum TV app is fairly similar among all platforms/devices it is on. I can definitely forward up your feedback for you.

Please do! We have been longtime Spectrum users with cellphones, wifi and TV. I'm just amazed and obviously disappointed in the app on XUMO. The experience should, at the very least, mirror the ease of use with cable. Hopefully, Spectrum will wise up and correct this before some of us move on.

    Thanks.
