Lost access to Charter email with no warning and need it restored
I'm guessing my situation might be similar to huskergreg's that was posted yesterday.
I have a Charter email that I've used regularly for a couple of decades. As of June 2 I can no longer access it. I normally retrieve the emails through a Gmail account and also occasionally log in through Spectrum directly.
Gmail is showing an "authentication error," and I am no longer able to log in to Spectrum using my email/password. I also cannot retrieve/reset them using any of the options.
I was not aware of this before today, but it does not seem like the email address is linked to the Spectrum account, so if this is the issue, please advise how it can be linked so I can regain access to my emails.

As previously stated, I cannot log in using my email address or use the forgot password option. Again, see huskergreg's post as it seems like he went through the same situation. My question was about linking my email address to my Spectrum account.

Hello @seth13;
I am only showing @charter.net email accounts linked to your account. If you are using a different domain then it is possible that your email account became detached from an account. This can happen when you move. Email accounts not attached to an account will eventually be disabled unless it is moved. I sent you a text message that includes instructions on how to move an email account to your current account.

The email address in question is another Charter email address. I sent it to you, but the mailbox is unmonitored. Clicking on the link you provided only results in a "page not found" message. It is to "avoid deactivation," but given that I lost the ability to log in, has my email address already been deactivated? Am I able to attach it if I cannot log in?

Thank you for that information, I have sent you a private message to gather more information.

Thank you for the email address. I can confirm the email account is linked to the account. The password to the account may need to be reset to regain access to the email. Please visit www.spectrum.net and select sign in. Use the forgot password option and put in the email address in the username box. Follow the instructions to reset it. Your gmail account may also be using outdated server information. Please visit the following site to see what settings should be setup for the email.

The system now seems to recognize the validity of my email address (I no longer receive the error that it does not match your records). However, I still cannot reset my password, because the system states it cannot verify my identity, using either the user name/zip code or email address options (my email address cannot be found using the phone number option, just the primary email address). The only option provided to verify my identity is the landline through Spectrum (not any other contact information associated with the Spectrum account), and when attempting this, I receive an error message. "We're sorry, something didn't work quite right. Please try again. NETGE-1000."
