"Major Network Upgrade" in 90024 - finally high split fiber?

Been hoping for fiber or symmetrical internet for years now. I get regular text messages from Spectrum that there are "Major Network Upgrades" in my area (90024) but Fiber still hasn't been implemented. I'm curious if anyone knows whether there are plans for symmetrical, high-upload/download internet to be implemented in my area any time soon. Is that what all this work has been for?

I called Spectrum once and they said it should be in effect later this year, but then called another time and they said that claim was made up and I never should have listened to whoever said it. I just want a definitive answer, if there is one.

    Hello @cellidonuts

Welcome to our community! At this time construction has begun for the upgrades in your area, but we haven't been provided with an estimated date for construction to be completed or for the symmetrical speeds to be rolled out. As soon as those speeds are made available, you will receive a notification to let you know.

sounds good, thanks. I just received a notification stating that the service was complete and I have access to faster internet. Does this mean that fiber is now available, or will it take longer?
