I have my own router and I'm trying to get IPv6 support set up.

What are the settings needed for Spectrum?

I tried several different configurations, but I can only get an IPv4 issued to me.

Attached is an image of my setting options.

Try auto-detect for the connection type and disable prefix delegation just for kicks.

    Hello @zack101

Welcome to Community forums! I am happy to look into this for you. Are you a Spectrum residential or business customer?

    Hi @zack101,

Currently, we use dual stack IP assignment, so the IP address assigned to your residential account is randomized and can be either IPv4 or IPv6. The protocols for both are fully interchangeable.

There is no way to choose the type of IP address you are assigned, unless you are a Business customer and purchase a static IP address.

Is there a specific reason that you are looking for an IPv6 vs IPv4 address?

When I was using Spectrum router/modem I was able to get an IPv4 and IPv6 at the same time. I assumed that would be the case with my own equipment, but maybe not? I just want to make sure my IPv6 setup is correct if Spectrum ever switches to requiring IPv6.
