How do I set up a backup phone when service isn't available?
Being able to set up a backup phone when service isn't available is one of the features that should be available to me, according to the Spectrum website. I don't see any instruction on how to do that. I want to set up my cell phone as the backup when Spectrum phone service isn't available. Thank you for your help.

Hello @Eapples
Welcome to our community! If you are referring to our call forwarding feature, that can be setup by logging in to your online portal. Once you are logged in, if you select the Home Phone service, there will be a Settings option in the banner at the top. In those settings, you would want to select Call Handling option and you can enter the Call Forwarding information and turn it on/off. Once the forwarding information is set up, call forwarding can also be activated through your handset by dialing *72 or *73 to turn it off.

Spectrum Voice "Set Backup Phone" is apparently not necessarily available in all "Legacy Charter" and "Legacy Time Warner" areas and simply not available in any "Legacy Bright House" areas:

I did all that. I don't see an option for "backup phone." On the Spectrum website, among the available features listed, is an option to foward all calls in case of a power outage -- when power goes down, and I lose phone service, the calls will be forwarded to my cell phone. How do I set that up?

Bummer! It's listed as being available without any limitation. I would strongly suggest that a notation be added to the website advising that this feature may not be available in all areas.
