I've never had a solid light.

I would like to know if the lights on the modem and router are to be solid or flashing?

I wasn't home when Spectrum came in to set it up. My room was.

And he doesn't remember.

    The light on the router and modem should be all solid lights. If the modem is flashing that means the connection isn't there. Not sure if you have the modem connected to the right coax wall plate that is being fed by the spectrum data or it might be spectrum side of things. Just make sure to call first thing in the morning or you could send pictures of what you're seeing.
