Frequent Dropped connections - recent problem

We have Internet Ultra service with Spectrum. Recently (last week) after a few storms that caused short-term outages, we started having frequently dropped connections and our router had to be rebooted >5 times a day to fix it. We both work primarily from home so it's a big problem. We thought it was the modem so we purchased a NetGear model CM1200 cable modem and set it up last night. Once we got it up and running, speeds were better than previous and we were optimistic. However, today we have already had several disconnections. I did connect my computer directly to the modem to see if this problem persisted when connected via ethernet and I had the same connectivity issue. I pulled the event logs and some other information from the modem and attached it below. Not sure what to try next. Our house sits about 1000 ft from the street and the line to our house was just replaced a couple of months ago after contractors working at the neighbors house cut the line to both of our houses.

If you are in a regiion potentially affected by the hurricane season fallout, it could be related. A fair amount of the infrastructure gets exposed to the storms and potential flooding that can come during this season... not to mention power outage impacts.

Even our market over an hour inland from Myrtle Beach is feeling the brunt of 30+ mph gusts and around 10 or12 inches of rainfall from Debby so far. The creek behind our property is already inches away from breeching flood walls in a couple neighborhoods.

    Yes,

OP should evaluate this issue for the next week or so, and see if it improves. It sounds like the storms knocked some things out of whack. I can not emphasize enough. New equipment will never fix anything if your signals and drop lines are bad. Watch your connection for a week. If things do not improve, you will need to contact Spectrum for a signal and drop line test to fix these issues.

Signal ingress will always come back if there are problems in the wiring or lines.
