    Welcome!

If bad weather was the cause of the outage, resulting in a downed power line or a tree struck and brought down a power line that can effect hundreds of residences in a single node. (Node being the service area designated by Spectrum where you receive all your cable services.) Really severe weather can affect hundreds of nodes and thousands of subs.

Spectrum like all cable/dish/streaming/mobile companies, always has to wait for clearance from the power company, meaning that the power company has to go in, repair the line, and than tell Spectrum that it's OK for field techs to perform maintenance on the homes that are out of service. But commercial power and the OK from the respective power company has to give the green light by telling Spectrum. "Your field crews can go in now and begin to restore service."Without this OK from the power company, Spectrum repair crews lives could be at risk by potentially moving a downed "live wire." As little as one tree down can impact many, many subscribers.

Sometimes it's not even weather related. Sometimes a crew can accidentally cut a utility wire sending services out for hours and yes, occasionally even a day or two. It all depends on where the downed wire or break in the cable is located, the number of homes affected, how repair priorities are handled by personnel, and of course the number of nodes that are affected by the outage.

Have you tried restarting the equipment (modem and router)?
