Wifi Outage Fixed when technician is scheduled

I’ve been getting a lot of wifi outages, I am fine in the weekends, inconveniently happens on my WFH days. When I troubleshoot and then schedule a technician, I get an almost immediate text that there is a wifi outage and then another text after that stating a technician has just repaired it for me to cancel my appt. It’s been happening every other workday for the past two weeks. Very frustrating, is Spectrum working with the big company to make us RTO. Do I need to find another internet carrier?

What makes matters worse, I also have spectrums cell service and it’s spotty to say the least.

    Welcome,

For your next service appointment, keep your tech visit, even if some automated response says the problem has been resolved. When is the last time a tech came to your home to check your signals and lines? (Tap, outlets. basement wiring? The point is your issue is not getting fixed. New equipment won't fix anything if your lines and wiring are bad. You need onsite communication to fix this with someone investigating at your home, not some automated text message saying, everything is fine, because it isn't.

Let your tech know about your consistent and persistent Internet problems. If wiring and lines are good, cable modem and router may need updating.

Good evening @mcampos1908 and Welcome to our Community Forums,

Thank you for reaching out to us about our services not working as intended. I am very sorry that your work from home has been interrupted. I can definitely understand your frustrations. You definitely need a stable connection. It appears the concerns were unplanned. This means something outside of our control occurred to interrupt the services. If your services are not restored when the concern is cleared, we would need to have someone come out to investigate this further for you. -Lyn
