    Hi @cjvsrd

Welcome to our Community Forums! I'm happy to help. Are you looking to prevent the TV from turning off?

Actually, the TV itself is still on, because it doesn't always turn on and off when the cable does. But there'd be no signal, because the cable box went off. I am wondering if I need to change channels periodically or turn it off and on....

It sounds like you may have the sleep timer set on the cable box. Here's how you can turn that off :

    1. Highlight Settings and Support and press the OK/Select button.
    2. Navigate to Preferences, then press the OK/Select button
    3. Go to Digital Receiver and press OK/Select button.
    4. Highlight the desired category.
      1. Power-On Channel: Sets a channel to display when the receiver turns on.
      2. Auto Power Down (Power Save Mode): Sets the receiver to automatically shut down after four hours of inactivity.  DVR recordings will record as scheduled.
      3. Energy Saving: Saves energy when the powered down.  DVR recordings will record as scheduled.
      4. AC Outlet: Determines if the receiver's AC outlet power off with the receiver. DVR recordings will record as scheduled.
    5. Press the OK/Select button.
    6. Press the Back button
      1. Changes will save automatically.
